Architectural Foundation
This OS was built from the ground up using Arch Linux as the base to minimize bloat and maximize system performance. Every package was hand-selected to create a slim, immutable core that runs perfectly on low-resource specialized hardware while maintaining a high-end visual aesthetic.
Hardware-Level Security (RFID)
One of the primary innovations in this build is the RFID-Integrated Boot Sequence. The OS remains in a locked state until a specific RFID hardware signal is validated. I developed a custom daemon that listens for hardware interrupts at the system level, allowing the OS to transition from a low-power "secure standby" to a fully branded user experience in under 2 seconds.
Brand Experience & Shell
I developed a custom shell environment that replaces the standard desktop. This environment is 100% white-labeled for the vendor, featuring automated start-up of proprietary software suites, custom window management logic, and a specialized update system that ensures zero-downtime maintenance across deployed units.
